Dr Hao Fang is the Executive Secretary of the Consultative Committee for Mass and Related Quantities (CCM). She also leads the development of the BIPM Kibble balance as a means for the practical realization of the new definition of the mass unit.

Hao joined the Mass Department in 1999 and has worked on refractometry, ellipsometry and studies related to air density determination and surface sorption on mass standards. Since 2004 she has been mainly involved in the BIPM Kibble balance experiment.
