Abstract

Five National Metrology Institutes and Designated Institutes participated in the Pilot Study CCQM-P233 "Absolute lithium isotope ratio in LSVEC". Participants were requested to evaluate the isotope ratio n(6Li)/n(7Li) in LSVEC dissolved in dilute nitric acid, expressed in mol/mol. An overall good agreement between all submitted results was obtained. Participants were encouraged to use MC-ICP-MS or the most accurate method available. Moreover, participants were required to apply appropriate measures to avoid the severe Li memory effect in their mass spectrometers.

The results will be the basis for a joint publication presenting a new absolute isotope ratio of LSVEC.

The final report has been peer-reviewed and approved for publication by the CCQM, according to the provisions of the CIPM Mutual Recognition Arrangement (CIPM MRA).
