Abstract

Five National Metrology Institutes and Designated Institutes participated in the Pilot Study CCQM-P233 â€œAbsolute lithium isotope ratio in LSVECâ€. Participants were requested to evaluate the isotope ratio n(⁶Li)/n(⁷Li) in LSVEC dissolved in dilute nitric acid, expressed in mol/mol. An overall good agreement between all submitted results was obtained. Participants were encouraged to use MC-ICP-MS or the most accurate method available. Moreover, participants were required to apply appropriate measures to avoid the severe Li memory effect in their mass spectrometers.

The results will be the basis for a joint publication presenting a new absolute isotope ratio of LSVEC.
