Now Open for Registration: 2025 UTC Summer Schools

Registrations are now open for two UTC summer schools in 2025 as part of the Consultative Committee for Time and Frequency (CCTF) programme of capacity building by resource sharing.

These workshops are designed to support institutes contributing to Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) through participation in BIPM Circular T and the Key Comparison CCTF-K001.UTC.

BIPM – SIM UTC Summer School

This workshop, jointly organized by CENAM, SIM and BIPM, will help institutes improve their national standard time and strengthen their contributions to UTC through enhanced knowledge in time and frequency.

Date and Venue: 7–9 May 2025 at CENAM, Querétaro, Mexico

Capacity: Limited to 30 participants (priority given to participants from the SIM region)

Registration and Details: https://www.bipm.org/en/committees/cb/cbkt/wg/cbkt-tf-sim

BIPM UTC Summer School

Set for the week before the 24th meeting of the CCTF, this workshop aims to provide both foundational and in-depth technical training to help institutes enhance their national standard time realization and further strengthen their UTC contributions.

Date and Venue: 9–11 September 2025 at BIPM, Sèvres, France

Capacity: Limited to 40 participants (priority given to active staff involved in Time Scale or GNSS Time Transfer activities at UTC(k) laboratories)

Registration and Details: https://www.bipm.org/en/committees/cb/cbkt/wg/cbkt-tf-utc-2025

Both summer schools are generously sponsored by the IEEE UFFC Society, with the BIPM providing additional funding for participants attending the September course.

We invite institutes and professionals in metrology to join these workshops and help build a stronger, more connected global timekeeping community.

*Travel assistance may be available for students with demonstrated financial need relevant to their role in timekeeping.
