Links between the BIPM and IMEKO
- IMEKO participates in the Forum on Metrology and Digitalization (FORUM-MD).
Purpose
IMEKO is a non-governmental federation of over 40 Member Organizations individually concerned with the advancement of measurement technology. The mission of IMEKO is to promote the international exchange of scientific and technical information relating to developments in measuring techniques, instrument design and manufacture, and the application of instrumentation in scientific research and industry.
The BIPM and IMEKO cooperate to foster harmonization and mutual support of their activities related to fundamental and applied metrology—such as measurement traceability, terminology, equivalence of measurements, and uncertainty of measurements— and to develop, implement and promote the SI Digital Framework.
