CIPM MRA COMPARISON REPORTS
KEY COMPARISON
BIPM.RI(II)-K5.Tc-99 (2026 update)
Abstract
The Extended International System of Reference (ESIR) was established at the BIPM to evaluate the international equivalence of standardization capabilities for radionuclide solutions. This service supports National Metrology Institutes (NMIs) and Designated Institutes (DIs) under the CIPM MRA framework. The ESIR specifically addresses radionuclides that cannot be measured using the International System of Reference (SIR). This report details the key comparison BIPM.RI(II).K5 of 99Tc, featuring results from the LNE-LNHB and NRC.
