Abstract

The regional comparison, APMP.M.FF-K6.2018, was conducted to assess the degree of equivalence of national primary standards for low-pressure gas flow measurement among nine National Metrology Institutes (NMIs) in the Asia-Pacific region over the range from 10 m3/h to 100 m3/h. The comparison was linked to the key comparison reference value (KCRV) established by the CIPM key comparison CCM.FF-K6.2011 through three linking laboratories: KRISS (Republic of Korea), NIM (China) and NMIA (Australia). KRISS coordinated the comparison and acted as the pilot laboratory, with an Itron Delta S-Flow G65 rotary gas meter (DN50) used as the transfer standard. The stability of the transfer standard was monitored throughout the comparison, and the results were analysed in accordance with the method proposed by Cox. The results of the participating laboratories were linked to the KCRV by correcting for the results obtained by the linking laboratories in the CIPM key comparison. The degrees of equivalence of all participating laboratories were found to satisfy |En| ≤ 1, demonstrating consistency with the KCRV. The results provide supporting evidence for the calibration and measurement capabilities claimed by the participating NMIs.
