The Republic of Peru became an Member State on 11 August 2026 (previously having been an Associate State of the CGPM since 28 May 2009).

The Republic of Peru was one of the initial signatories of the Metre Convention (20 May 1875). It ratified the Convention and became a Member State on 20 December 1875. It withdrew with effect from 1956.
