The United States of America

The United States of America became a Member State in 1878.

Dr James Olthoff, Associate Director for Laboratory Programs, NIST, was elected to the CIPM by the 26th CGPM (November 2018).

The CIPM elected him Vice-President of the CIPM on 20 March 2019.

Willie E. May, former Director, NIST, is President of the Consultative Committee for Amount of Substance – Metrology in Chemistry (CCQM).
