About the SI Reference Point

The SI Reference Point is the knowledge model of the SI Brochure, which defines the International System of Units (SI), the world’s only internationally agreed system of units. By making core SI reference information available in machine-readable form, the SI Reference Point helps ensure that the SI can be used consistently in digital applications and data exchange.

The first stable release of the SI Reference Point marks an important milestone in the digital transformation of the international metrology system.

What participants will learn

During the webinar, participants will:

  • receive an introduction to the digital transformation of metrology and the role of the SI Reference Point;
  • take part in a practical walkthrough of the services through which the SI Reference Point is published;
  • learn how the SI Brochure is being made available as a machine-actionable knowledge model with persistent identifiers (PIDs).

Who should attend?

The webinar will be of particular interest to colleagues working in digital metrology, digital calibration certificates, digital reference material certificates, digital quality infrastructure and standards.
