As 2025 draws to a close, the BIPM invites the global metrology community to join a special online event marking the conclusion of the 150th anniversary of the Metre Convention.

“Highlights from BIPM150: A 30-minute special” will provide an opportunity to look back on a landmark year for international metrology and to acknowledge the contributions of our partners around the world.

The programme will include:

• a message from the BIPM Director, Dr Martin Milton OBE, reflecting on the impact of 2025;
• short contributions from National Metrology Institutes (NMIs) highlighting national BIPM150 activities;
• a selection of video highlights from the May celebrations;
• closing reflections from the Director Designate, Dr Annette Koo, including a look ahead to 2026.
