Rapports de comparaisons du CIPM MRA sur le site internet du BIPM

From December 2025, the new CIPM MRA Comparison Reports (formerly categorized under the Technical Supplements in Metrologia) will be published and maintained directly by the BIPM on bipm.org.

This change marks the next step in improving access to formal reports that underpin international metrology.

This change only applies to CIPM MRA Comparison Reports published from 1 December 2025, all previously published reports will remain in Metrologia’s Technical Supplement, as before, as well as being published in the BIPM’s Key Comparison Database (KCDB).

Hosting the new CIPM MRA Comparison Reports to bipm.org will:

  • provide direct and central access through the BIPM’s own platform,
  • ensure faster updates and publication workflows, and
  • enhance discoverability and usability alongside other CIPM MRA resources.

While the move will involve migrating the submission process from a Word-based system to a more streamlined digital form, hosted by the BIPM, the key steps for submitting and publishing the reports (alongside their structure and content) will remain the same.

“Publishing the new CIPM MRA Comparison Reports on the BIPM website will make them easier to search and access, while more closely integrating them with the CIPM MRA framework,” says Dr Martin Milton, Director of the BIPM. “It also reflects our continuing efforts to further digitize and streamline how the CIPM MRA operates, and how the international metrology community engages with key comparison data.”

What are the CIPM MRA Comparison Reports?

The CIPM MRA Comparison Reports are formal reports presenting the results of key and supplementary comparisons conducted under the CIPM Mutual Recognition Arrangement (CIPM MRA). They provide the technical details that underpin the internationally recognized Calibration and Measurement Capabilities (CMCs) published in the BIPM Key Comparison Database (KCDB).

These documents were previously published in the Metrologia Technical Supplement — a section of the journal Metrologia.
