CIPM MRA COMPARISON REPORTS
CCQM-K174
Abstract
A series of oxygenated volatile organic compounds (oxy-VOCs) is found in the atmosphere and they are present both from direct emissions as well as products of atmospheric chemistry. Their long-term behaviour is important to determine both emissions and oxidation processes. The development of a capability for providing traceable reference standards of oxy-VOCs is of paramount importance to underpin rigorous quality assurance and quality control for the long-term monitoring of the levels of these components in the atmosphere. This key comparison demonstrates the equivalence of gas standards for a series of targed compounds in the range 100 nmoll/mol - 1000 nmol/mol.
