Abstract
lThis key comparison APMP.QM-K3.2019 is designed as linking to the appropriate CCQM comparison CCQM-K3.2019 , which was carried out in 2019-2022. CCQM-K3.2019 was one of a series of key comparisons in the gas analysis area assessing core competences (track A key comparisons). Such competences include, among others, the capabilities to prepare Primary Standard gas Mixtures (PSMs), perform the necessary purity analysis on the materials used in the gas mixture preparation, the verification of the composition of newly prepared PSMs against existing ones, and capability of calibrating a gas mixture.
For this comparison, gas mixtures containing carbon monoxide (0.5 – 2) cmol/mol, carbon dioxide (2 – 5) cmol/mol, oxygen (1 – 4) cmol/mol, and propane (0.01 – 0.03) cmol/mol in a nitrogen balance were distributed to eleven participating institutes.
KRISS has participated in CCQM-K3.2019 and showed a consistent result for all of the components (carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, oxygen, and propane) in a gas mixture. Therefore, the results of APMP.QM-K3.2019 can be linked to CCQM-K3.2019 through the results of KRISS and can be used to support CMCs.Note that this text is that which appears in Appendix B of the BIPM key comparison database https://www.bipm.org/kcdb/.
The final report has been peer-reviewed and approved for publication by the CCQM, according to the provisions of the CIPM Mutual Recognition Arrangement (CIPM MRA).
