Terms of reference

Objectives

• To establish metrology framework and general approaches/guidelines addressing measurement traceability and uncertainty evaluation of sensor network data after fusion.
• To establish metrology framework and general approaches/guidelines on setting up a sensor network with robust and accurate data from metrology point of view.
• To identify frameworks of non-conventional network calibration for potential future comparisons and CMCs.

Work scopes

• Gathering impacts and benefits to societies and industry sectors (healthcare, environmental monitoring, advanced manufacturing, etc).
• Development of sensor network metrology terminologies compatible with Digital VIM (readable by machine).
• Development of metrology frameworks for sensor networks allowing for effective use in digital technologies such as digital twinning, AI systems, and DCC for sensing data transfer.
• Monitoring of best practices in sensor network metrology, such as data collection and processing, aiming for metrological guidelines.
• Establishing a mechanism on key comparisons with the support of reference datasets on sensor network calibration.
