COOMET.M.M-K5 and SIM.M.M-K5 results are linked to those of CCM.M-K5

Mass standards

Two set of standards (Jx and Jy) have been used in the CCM.M-K5 comparison. Details on the transfer standards are given in Section 3 of the Final Report, and more specifically in Table 1 of this report.

NOMINAL VALUE : 2 kg

  • Key comparison CCM.M-K5

The comparison reference value is computed as a median as explained in Section 5 of the Final Report. The uncertainty of the key comparison reference value is computed as given in equations 7 and 8 of the report and is equal to 37 µg for nominal mass of 2 kg and transfer standard Jx.

The degree of equivalence of each laboratory i with respect to the key comparison reference value is given by a pair of terms: Di and Ui, its expanded uncertainty
(k = 2), both expressed in µg, computed as explained in equations 6, 9 and 10 of the report.
No pairwise degree of equivalence is given.
  • Linking COOMET.M.M-K5 to CCM.M-K5

The common participation of VNIIM makes it possible to link the COOMET.M.M-K5 results to those of CCM.M-K5 (see Section 4.3 of the COOMET.M.M-K5 Final Report), using the VNIIM results for the CCM.M-K5 standards 2 kg-Jx, 200 g-Jy, 1 g-Jy and 200 mg-Jy.
In CCM.M-K5, the VNIIM results for the weights with nominal values 50 g were not consistent with the key comparison reference values. Thus the results of measurements for this value have been excluded from the computation of the degrees of equivalence of COOMET.M.M-K5 participants.

Pair-wise degrees of equivalence involving COOMET.M.M-K5 participants (only) have not been computed.

  • Linking SIM.M.M-K5 to CCM.M-K5

The linking was made via the CENAM, INMETRO and the NRC that all participated in the CCM.M-K5 comparison. The Degrees of Equivalence for SIM.M.M-K5 were evaluated against the average results of CENAM, INMETRO and the NRC obtained for the Jx and Jy mass standards in the CCM.M-K5 comparison. The DoE have been reproduced in the tables and graphs for Jx (2 kg) and Jy (200 g, 50 g, 1 g, 200mg)

Pair-wise degrees of equivalence involving SIM.M.M-K5 participants (only) have not been computed.

  • Key comparison CCM.M-K5

The comparison reference value is computed as a median as explained in Section 5 of the Final Report. The uncertainty of the key comparison reference value is computed as given in equations 7 and 8 of the report and is equal to 3.9 µg for nominal mass of 200 g and transfer standard Jy.

  • Key comparison CCM.M-K5

The comparison reference value is computed as a median as explained in Section 5 of the Final Report. The uncertainty of the key comparison reference value is computed as given in equations 7 and 8 of the report and is equal to 0.50 µg for nominal mass of 1 g and transfer standard Jy.

The degree of equivalence of each laboratory i with respect to the key comparison reference value is given by a pair of terms: Di and Ui, its expanded uncertainty
