MEASURAND   Electrolytic conductivity of a KCL solution at 25 °C

NOMINAL VALUE 0.5 S.m-1

The key comparison reference value xR and its associated standard uncertainty uR are determined from the median of eight results. Secondary measurement results traceable to CRMs from SMU (a participating NMI) and those using non-NMI CRMs as calibrants were excluded. Secondary measurement results traceable to DFM (a non-participating NMI) were first combined into a single result using the uncertainty-weighted mean without dispersion before being included in the xcalculation (see section 8 of the CCQM-K170 Final report).

        xR = 0.50150 S.m-1     uR = 0.00018 S.m-1

The degree of equivalence of laboratory i relative to the key comparison reference value xR is given by a pair of terms, both expressed in S.m-1:

Di = (xi - xR) and its expanded uncertainty Ui at a 95 % level of confidence calculated as described in section 9 of the CCQM-K170 Final report.

CCQM-K170

MEASURAND   Electrolytic conductivity of a KCL solution at 25 °C

NOMINAL VALUE 20 S.m-1

The key comparison reference value xR and its associated standard uncertainty uR are determined from the median of six results. Measurement results for participants who reported technical problems and those using non-NMI CRMs as calibrants were excluded. Secondary measurement results traceable to DFM (a non-participating NMI) were first combined into a single result using the uncertainty-weighted mean without dispersion before being included in the xcalculation (see section 8 of the CCQM-K170 Final report).

        xR =20.148 S.m-1     uR = 0.014 S.m-1
