MEASURAND : Density of liquids
LIQUID : Water at 20 °C

The key comparison reference value, xR , and associated expanded uncertainty at a 95% level of confidence, UR, are calculated according to Procedure B explained in Metrologia, 2012, 39, 589-595 (see page 17 of the Final Report).
The key comparison reference value is computed by a Monte Carlo method using the median. The distribution is usually non-symmetric and the confidence interval may not be equally spaced around the reference value.

xR = 998.3220 kg/m3, UR lower = 0.0038 kg/m3 and UR upper = 0.0038 kg/m3

In Procedure B, the degree of equivalence, Di, of laboratory i with respect to the key comparison reference value is calculated by the Monte Carlo method described in Metrologia, 2012, 39, 589-595.

MEASURAND : Density of liquids
LIQUID : Pentadecane at 20 °C

The key comparison reference value, xR , and associated expanded uncertainty at a 95% level of confidence, UR, are calculated according to Procedure A explained in Metrologia, 2012, 39, 589-595 (see page 17 of the Final Report). It is the weighted mean of the results.

xR = 768.5652 kg/m3, UR = 0.0027 kg/m3

The degree of equivalence, Di, of laboratory i with respect to the key comparison reference value is calculated as the offset to xR together with its expanded uncertainty Ui = 2(ui2uR2)1/2, where ui and uR are the standard uncertainties of the laboratory result and of the key comparison reference value, respectively.
