Comments With K86 series, the quantification of the relative abundance of two DNA fragments in a matrix with high carbohydrate and high fat content has been demonstrated in plant material in previous key comparisons (K86, K86.b and K86.c). The measurement space of food matrix lacks high protein content and the DNA extraction process had not been studied for processed matrix, so, this study as a protein rich matrix model for genomic DNA quantification (pork matrix in beef matrix) will fill in this area.
