CCQM-K146

MEASURAND         Benzo[a]pyrene in olive oil

NOMINAL VALUE       2.7 µg/kg

The key comparison reference value xR and its associated standard uncertainty uR are computed from a hierarchical Bayesian procedure implemented in the NIST Consensus Builder (NICOB), considered the most appropriate approach (see CCQM-K146 Final Report p. 23). The institutes DRICM, EXHM, INMETRO, NIMT, MIRS/ZRS-KP/LPO and UME were excluded when determining the key comparison reference value.

        xR = 2.74 µg/kg     uR = 0.03 µg/kg

The degree of equivalence of laboratory i relative to the key comparison reference value xR is given by a pair of terms, both expressed in µg/kg:

Di = (xi - xR) and its expanded uncertainty Ui at a 95 % level of confidence where Ui = 2 ui.

The degree of equivalence of laboratory i relative to the key comparison reference value xR is also alternatively given by a pair of terms, both expressed in %:

Di = (xi - xR)/xR and its associated expanded uncertainty Ui /xR at a 95 % level of confidence.
