|Metrology area, Sub-field||Length, Dimensional Metrology|
|Description||Determination of roundness in the equator of two alumina spheres|
|Time of measurements||2020|
|Status||Measurements in progress|
|Parameters||Peak-to-valley roundness deviation (RONt) with reference to the least squares reference circle (LSCI) and, if possible, to the minimum zone reference circles (MZCI), in accordance with ISO/TS 12181-1:2003|
|Transfer device||Two alumina spheres|
|Comparison type||Supplementary Comparison|
|Consultative Committee||CCL (Consultative Committee for Length )|
|Conducted by||EURAMET (European Association of National Metrology Institutes)|
|RMO Internal Identifier||EURAMET 1489|
This is a Supplementary Comparison continuation of the previous EURAMET.L-S23.2013 on which some difficulties linked to the quality of the sphere were found by some of the participants, being suggested to select better spherical standards and organize a new comparison.
