DESCRIPTION : comparison of the frequencies of He-Ne lasers at 633 nm
MEASURAND: frequency difference

Key comparison reference value:
The key comparison reference value is the frequency of the BIPM laser BIPM4.
Its combined standard uncertainty is equal to the value 12 kHz as estimated by the CCL in 1997.

It follows that measurement results may be interpreted as degrees of equivalence relative to the reference value for each laser if the Type B uncertainty is not taken into account.

At its 10th meeting in September 2001, the CCL decided that no pair-wise degrees of equivalence would be computed for this comparison.

DESCRIPTION : comparison of the frequencies of He-Ne lasers at 633 nm
MEASURAND: frequency difference

The result of measurement for laser i is expressed as the difference from the BIPM4 laser frequency: fLASER i - fBIPM4.

Its standard uncertainty is the Type A standard deviation of the measurements.

No numerical values are displayed here; they may be found in the references proposed in the page Participants.
