CCM Working Group on the Realization of the kilogram (CCM-WGR-kg)

In 2019 the CCM-WGR-kg and the CCM-WGD-kg were merged to create the CCM Working Group on Mass (CCM-WGM).

Terms of reference

    To advise the CCM about issues concerning the realization of the kilogram before and after the redefinition;

    To cooperate with the CCM Working Group on the Dissemination of the kilogram in maintaining and disseminating the kilogram;

    To review the results of completed key and supplementary comparisons and plan and support new comparisons;

    To facilitate the submission and review of CMCs by establishing technical review criteria and service categories and providing guidance on and coordinating the review process;

    To establish and maintain the mise en pratique of the definition of the kilogram;

    To be responsible for the following tasks before the redefinition:

    • To promote cooperation between relevant experiments, in particular for improving the accuracy and for resolving discrepancies;

    • To monitor the results of relevant experiments by following progress of the different projects and to check if the CCM Recommendation G1 (2013) is fulfilled.
