The 25th meeting of the General Conference on Weights and Measures (CGPM) was held at the Palais des Congrès at Versailles from 18 to 20 November 2014. It brought together delegates from 46 Member States and 20 Associate States and Economies of the CGPM.

A number of speakers were invited to the Conference to highlight the importance of metrology in fields ranging from trade to climate change. Christophe Salomon (CNRS/LKB) gave a talk entitled "The measurement of time".
