[Note: This move of the time interval counter was intended to shorten the cable run from the TurboRogue 1 pps output to the counter, resulting in a shift of the monitor data by ~31 ns. The goal is to try to restore the quality of the 1 pps monitor data, which became degraded in changes made around 13 November 1998. The trigger level was left unchanged at the 0.5 Volt level set in November. --Jim Ray] From Wendy@newton.usno.navy.mil Mon Mar 1 17:45:29 EST 1999 Received: from psyche.usno.navy.mil (psyche.usno.navy.mil [192.5.41.214]) by maia.usno.navy.mil (8.8.6 (PHNE_14041)/8.8.6) with SMTP id RAA11402 for; Mon, 1 Mar 1999 17:45:29 -0500 (EST) Received: from newton.usno.navy.mil by psyche.usno.navy.mil (5.65v3.2/1.1.10.5/27Dec96-1044AM) id AA30016; Mon, 1 Mar 1999 17:43:31 -0500 Received: by newton.usno.navy.mil; Mon, 1 Mar 1999 22:43:31 gmt From: Wendy@newton.usno.navy.mil (wendy king) Date: Mon, 1 Mar 1999 22:43:19 gmt To: Jim Ray (USNO 202-762-1444) Cc: paul@tsee2.usno.navy.mil, dnm@simon.usno.navy.mil Subject: Re: degraded 1 pps monitoring for MC3 - USNO In-Reply-To: <199901221854.NAA06833@maia.usno.navy.mil> (Jim Ray (USNO 202-762-1444), Fri, 22 Jan 1999 13:54:21 EST) Message-Id: <131F89F26F@newton.usno.navy.mil> Status: RO We moved the time interval counter into the environmental chamber so it is next to the receiver. The move occurred this afternoon, Monday, March 1, and shows up in the data as follows 51238.854178 -454073 51238.879317 -485083 You will notice a few missed readings while things were being moved. This is the last reading before the move, and the first reading after. The difference is about 31ns. I will leave it to you to notify other interested parties.
