Subject: Meeting announcement

Dear Colleagues,

We are glad to announce the 1st meeting of the IGS/BIPM Pilot
Project Working Group, to be held
		       	on

		 22 and 23 June 1998

	              at the =

BUREAU INTERNATIONAL DES POIDS ET MESURES =

	        Pavillon de Breteuil
                 92312 S=E8vres Cedex
	              France

The purpose of this meeting is to get the geodetic and the time
communities acquainted with each other and with the range of
activities already under way or planned.

We intend to organize the meeting as a forum for exchange of ideas
and experience. In order to stimulate the discussion, we plan some
short presentations (no more than 20 minutes each) on a number of topics
generally already approached in the answers to the Call for Participation=
=2E

The meeting is scheduled for Monday 22 June 1998, all day, and Tuesday
23 June 1998, morning. A detailed agenda will be sent to you in a few wee=
ks.
Tuesday afternoon is devoted to a visit of the BIPM time laboratory. Some=

posters on the most recent BIPM activities will be prepared (GPS phase
measurements, pulsar survey, and multichannel GPS/GLONASS time links),
and members of the Time Section will be available for discussion.
