Efforts have been underway to determine the cause for these resets but no progress has been made. Naturally, clock resets are a major obstacle for timing studies, which is the main purpose for this station. In an effort to rectify this situation, we plan to replace the choke-ring antenna and TurboRogue receiver with identical units within the next several weeks. The replacement system is now being checked by our colleagues at NOAA, for which we are very grateful. A more detailed message will be sent when the changes and schedule are better defined. We apologize for the disruption this change will cause but are hopeful that improved performance will result. ========================================================================= Jim Ray e-mail: jimr@maia.usno.navy.mil U.S. Naval Observatory, EO Dept. phone : 202-762-1444 3450 Massachusetts Avenue, NW fax : 202-762-1563 Washington, DC 20392-5420 =========================================================================
