Attached below is the program from the PTTI meeting for Sessions VI and VII
on the use of GPS carrier phase for time and frequency transfer. These
sessions will be held on Wednesday afternoon, 02 December 1998. For the
complete PTTI program, please refer to

http://tycho.usno.navy.mil/ptti/ptti98/advpgm98.html

For registration and other logistical information on the PTTI meeting,
please refer to http://tycho.usno.navy.mil/ptti/ptti98/ptti98.html .

Please recall that there will be a separate splinter session for participants
of the IGS/BIPM Pilot Project. It will be held on Monday, 30 November, 13:00
to 16:00, the day before the start of the PTTI meeting. This session will
also be at the PTTI meeting site (Hyatt Regency Hotel in Reston, Virginia,
USA).

1800-2000 INVITED SPEAKER: Dava Sobel, author of "Longitude"

Wednesday Evening Special Event

On Wednesday evening, December 2, Dava Sobel, author of the New York Times
Bestseller LONGITUDE - The True Story of a Lone Genius Who Solved the
Greatest Scientific Problem of His Time, will share the story of clock
maker, John Harrison. The precise clocks and clock makers of today, as well
as navigators, owe a great deal to John Harrison. This is a wonderful way to
celebrate PTTI's Thirtieth Anniversary. There will be a book signing after
the lecture. You are welcome to bring your personal copies of the book for
signature, or you can purchase hardcover copies at the event.

Prior to the lecture, soups, breads, cheeses, and wine will be offered. This
is included for fully registered attendees, but guest tickets at $20.00 may
be purchased at the Registration Desk.
