The differences between the two receivers and their relationship to UTC(ROA) are explained below. Juan is preparing an IGS log file to submit to the IGS Central Bureau, which will be available at http://igscb.jpl.nasa.gov/igscb/station/log/ . --Jim ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Forwarded messages: From: "Juan Palacio" To: Cc: Subject: New Station: ROAH Dear colleagues: This message is to communicate you that ROAH permanent station has been succesfully installed and its data are daily collected and they are now avilable to IGS community. Our collaboration is a result of the IGS/BIPM Pilot Projet for Time and Frequency Comparisons using GPS. I am also sending an application to IERS to request the DOMES number for the station. All the best, Juan Palacio Profesor - Jefe de la Seccion de Hora Real Instituto y Observatorio de la Armada SPAIN jpalacio@roa.es ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: "Juan Palacio" To: "Jim Ray (USNO 202-762-1444)" Subject: RE: New Station: ROAH Date: Thu, 17 Jun 1999 06:36:05 -0000 Dear Jim: Thank you very much for your comments. Yes. I forgot to mention that SFER is collocated with the new station. ROA decided to mantain the two station if they are not on the same network ( I mean the official IGS station is SFER and ROAH is only for IGS/BIPM project collaboration). TTR-4P is based on AOA Turbo-Rogue, it is a 8 channel geodetic receiver with an external frequency reference input and an external 1PPS (UTC(ROA)). TTR-4P can work in three diferents way: navigation, fixed and clock.( Mirhan Miranian can give you, better than me, further details on each operation mode). The difference with Trimble is that the later has no time reference input, so its internal timing reference is driven by the frequency of one of our cesium clock, but we do not know the diference between internal clock and UTC(ROA). Please find attached a sample of the RINEX obs. file coming from TTR-4P. Thank you again for your comments. I have read again the station log with more attention and I have found some other errors I am going to rectify.
