Response to CALL FOR PARTICIPATION in an

IGS/BIPM PILOT PROJECT TO STUDY ACCURATE TIME AND FREQUENCY
COMPARISONS USING GPS PHASE AND CODE MEASUREMENTS

Agency or group: Deutsches Zentrum fuer Luft- und Raumfahrt e.V. (DLR)
                 Institute of Radio Frequency Technology

Contact person(s): J.H. Hahn

E-mail address(es): joerg.hahn@dlr.de

Areas of participation:
   1) Deployment of GPS receivers: Yes
   2) GPS data analysis: Yes
   3) Analysis of instrumental delays: Yes
   4) Time transfer comparisons: Yes
   6) other: still to be defined

Limitations on participation:
no limitations, funding may be helpful to work in items 2) and 3)

Comments or suggestions:
Our main interest will be in the area of processing algorithms to use carrier phase
smoothing, and in the calibration task where still more detailed investigations
are needed.

DLR is well equipped with active and passive H-masers, TTR-4P receiver,
(and also 3S GLONASS receivers)

Please return to jimr@maia.usno.navy.mil and cthomas@bipm.fr,
preferably by 15 March 1998.
