The BIPM service for filling and testing iodine cells was discontinued in August 2009, after more than 30 years of constructing high-quality iodine cells for use in stabilized lasers and spectroscopy.

A list of laboratories and companies that could provide a similar service is available on request to Dr Elisa Felicitas Arias, Director of the Time, Frequency and Gravimetry Section.
