	The Joint Committee of the Regional Metrology Organizations and the BIPM – the JCRB – was established in February 1998 to support implementation of Part 2 of the CIPM mutual recognition agreement for national measurement standards and measurement certificates issued by national metrology institutes (MRA). Since its first meeting, the JCRB's main activities have been: the coordination and management of reviews of NMI calibration and measurement capabilities (CMCs); and the development of policy and guidelines on the operation of the CIPM MRA to assist the RMOs and the CIPM.
