The International Liaison and Communication Department was created in January 2012 to reflect the growing role of international liaison and the need for ever more effective communication with our stakeholders.
The four main tasks of the Department are:
- liaison with other intergovernmental and international bodies;
- promotion of the Metre Convention and International System of Units;
- support of the CIPM MRA including the JCRB and KCDB;
- BIPM publications and provision of the website.
